The Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to in house Legal Counsel.

Receives and reviews contracts and legal documents to ensure completeness prior to forwarding for legal review.
Requests revisions to contract language per legal recommendations.
Prepares final contract documents for signature and routes final copies appropriately.
Files and maintains record of final copies and the related attorney correspondence.
Assists with and responds to records requests and subpoenas as advised.
Handles all submissions of new service providers and tracks and renews approved service providers.
Handles the maintenance/record keeping of service provider certificate of insurance documents required by approved contracts.
Contributes to increasing efficiency and development of processes and procedures.
Provides administrative support to the Legal Counsel -
o Intakes information and routes appropriately and obtains requested information.
o Takes and transcribes dictation, and composes and prepares confidential correspondence, memos, and other documents.
o Fills out all applicable forms as directed.
o May create and maintain database and spreadsheet files.
o Files and maintains documents.
o Prepares outgoing mail; distribute incoming mail.
o Conduct legal research and or analysis when needed.
o Prepare confidential and sensitive documents.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School level education required and Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
Prior experience or educational background in the areas of contract administration or legal administrative support preferred.

Pay range: $46,200.00 - $60,000.00 per year

*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
